About The Artist
Joudi Alafranji was born in 2000 in Gaza. She studied dentistry at Al Azhar University, beginning to work as a portrait artist at a very young age, was the true start of her artistic practice. This was the root of her passion for visual expression, and what encouraged her to further explore art on a personal and independent level.
She has participated in numerous local exhibitions across Palestine and received a number of creative awards. This includes collaboration with prominent Gaza-based artists that expanded her presence within the regional art scene.
She creates as an independent artist, using primarily social media as a platform for her art and connecting with a broader audience. Her recent contributions include the Artists Against Genocide exhibition and Resurrected by Teesri Duniya Theatre in Montreal, Canada.
